Chapter 6

In chapter 6 the author talks about the importance of being thankful through it all. He reminds us that sometimes it's easy to focus on all the negative going on around us. This is very relatable musicians as a lot of times are complaining about the sound, singers, not getting paid enough and so on. But it is important to remember we are doing it for Christ and to remember all the blessing he gives us daily. God is always good but we do not always remember.

My favorite part was how the author stresses the importance of thinking of Gods blessing all the time. I struggle with this as I have a tendency to look at all the bad instead of the good. I really enjoyed reading this chapter.

chapter 5

Chapter 5
In this chapter the author makes a point of demonstrating to the reader that is a vital that as worship leaders we not only worship on Sunday's, but all thoughout the week with our lives. He says our life of worship must influence everything we do and say. A Sunday of worship must be preceded by 6 days of worship and living for the Lord. As worship leaders we must not only focus on putting on a show, but being someone church members can look at as a good example for how to live for God. God should be before the music.

My favorite part was the story in Acts 16 and how Paul was beaten and thrown into prison. The author asked what would we do if we were put in that situation. I believe I would probably panic, but Paul sang praises unto God.
